I’ve got a serious case of cover love this summer. So much so that I wanted to round up a handful that have recently caught my eye and that are deserving of a few sighs. Better yet, let’s make up some awards! We can do that, right? 😉

Sigh-Worthy Cover Awards

BEST DRESSED ~ Keep Holding On by Melissa Tagg

Can the designers of this cover please come and give me and my hubby a fashion overhaul. Seriously! I want to give these two a closet raid and impeccable style aside, the adorableness of this is just…wow.

CUTENESS OVERLOAD ~ Homestands by Sally Bradley

I mean, seriously. I swoon over everything about this cover. The colors. The lights. The fonts. The guy and the girl. The guys’s flannel shirt. That sky. Just. Sigh. Did I mention the guy?

BEST TITLE ~ A Moonbow Night by Laura Frantz

There’s just something about a good title and while all these books have amazing titles, Laura’s A Moonbow Night is one that piques my interest by the words alone. So fresh. So whimsical. She just unveiled her beautiful new cover and those greens and the glorious blues that blend with the heroine’s eyes just bring it all home.

SWEETEST COVER ~ So Rare a Gift by Amber Lynn Perry

There is something about Amber Lynn Perry’s latest that grabs my attention. I think it’s the gentle colors and stance, mixed with the fact that it’s the author herself posing as the heroine that just warms my heart!

MOST INTRIGUING ~ Mark of the King by Jocelyn Green

There’s something about the colors of Jocelyn’s upcoming novel that really catches my eye. The luxurious fabric of the gown mixed with the humble bayou landscape is such an intriguing mix!  I’ve had the privilege of reading an early draft of this manuscript and this cover checks all the right boxes.

CUTEST SMIRK ~ When Tides Turn by Sarah Sundin

This needs to be an award and if it isn’t one yet, Sarah Sundin’s upcoming WWII novel NAILS IT. And gah. The titling and colors of her covers are always so stunning. If I ever switched careers, I want to be a cover designer at Revell. No joke.

Sarah Sundin

MOST MAGICAL ~ The Illusionist’s Apprentice by Kristy Cambron

I have a secret fascination about Harry Houdini as well as a not-so-secret affection for top hats, so add in Kristy Cambron’s literary magic and I am just waiting like a crazy person for her upcoming historical.

THE HEART-TUGGER ~ Can’t Help Falling by Kara Isaac

This one just gets me. From the fonts, to that pose and those expressions. My heart…it just. Good gravy. That’s it. I’m changing my name to Kara Isaac. Now to work on the accent…
